Silloway (Thomas) House is built.

Architect: Thomas Silloway. Designed in the Queen Anne style by the architect/minister as his home, it is located at 40 Gordon Street. It is reputed to be the only house with a San Francisco styled “painted lady” color scheme in the neighborhood. The building is renovated and expanded in 2002.
